April 16, 12 Letter

Hey London is good except I am not i London haha the area i am in is called Exeter!! It is close to the coast. It's so weird because there are palm trees! Pres and Sister Shamo are awesome, I love them already!! They are so loving and I feel like i could talk to them whenever.. They know the Davis' like Whitney Davis i played vball with.. They go to bear lake and stuff all the time!

      I am having a real rough time!!It's so different and soo hard!! we got to the mission home safely and stayed there that night!! Then next morning we went to the London temple so that was really fun!! My new companion is sister Binnie!! she is from Scotland and she is a convert! She is amazing and I am learning so much from her.

       The first few days here were so hard. All Iwanted to do was cry and come home!! I didn't imagine it would be this hard! !I have no idea what I am doing and I didn't know any of the investigators, so I just felt like I was following my companion around. Also I never talk to them cause I don't know them and I haven't studied for like 4 days because there has been no time!! The first day we came back to our flat I just burst into tears and cried to my companion!! It's weird cause I don't do that but it sooooo hard. The next day we traveled to Plymouth for zone conference and had a meeting and we got to see President!! So I went and talked to president Shamo and bawled my eyes out again!! He said it's normal to feel this way and feel overwhelmed and homesick!! He is amazing!! He gave me a blessing and I felt a lot better just to be able to talk to him and to get a blessing!!

      That night we came home and taught a guy named Vivaldi! it was amazing! we were sitting in McDonald's and who knew I would be able to feel the spirit so strongly in the middle of mcds!! But we asked him to be baptized and he committed!! It was just what I needed!! The next day was hard but not as bad and I am getting to know the investigators so I don't feel helpless so things are looking up and getting better.  Just those first two days were miserable so I was glad I could talk to President!!

      I am adjusting and beginning to love what i am doing. I knew it would be hard, just didn't think it would be this hard. It has been better tho so don't worry I just have to get in the groove of things and I will be fine. :) I am so grateful that my companion is so amazing and is helping me through.

Yesterday we went to the Church of England service!! hahah it was interesting! the music was good but the sermon was confusing!! We went with a guy named Andy that we are teaching. He said if we came he would come to our church so... when we go to other churches with our badges they like to call us out!! It's a good thing sister Binnie is there because i wouldn't know how to handle the situation yet!! haha but i really am starting to love it.

So send stuff there or else it would take me forever to get it if you send it to the mission home. I am about four hours away from the mission home! On the way to my area we got to pass Stone Henge so that was cool it was hard to get pictures so i only got one!!

        I miss you all so much and it sounds like everyone is doing good!

      I have an invitation for all of you :) look at me being all missionary like.. ha but read the book of mormon as a family and pray as a family daily and I know that you will be able to see the difference it will make and it will bless you all!! don't just read it but talk about it afterwards so that you understand it. it is an amazing book and i took it for granted. so yeah do that and i know you will all be blessed :)

umm i probably could have emailed but i honestly didn't have time.. we are running constantly and we could never get to a computer! sorry! also my straitener and hair dryer don't work i think it's just because of the wattage so should i send them home or what? i got a hair dryer from the mtc lost and found so i don't need to buy one and i will probably just buy a curling iron instead of a straitener!! so everything is good there! send me more downeast undershirts.. the white ones if possible!! oh and i need true science the one i have bben using since december ran out!
