Hi

Things are going good this week. We have been seeing a lot of miracles which is really good "And now I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things that are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." ether 12:6 :)

 

We are hopefully going to start teaching 2 young mums this week. We found one just in the town as we went out contacting and then we found another when we were buzzing some flats and both seem really interested. The girl that we found at the flat has a friend that is a member so that is definiely a plus and she's in our ward.
And also a 17 year old boy showed up at church yesterday because he has a friend that is a member back home and just felt that he should come to church. He had to leave early because he had a cab so we didn't get a chance to see how he liked church but he said that he is coming to church again next week. So we are definitly being blessed here in Hastings and hopefully the work will just continue to go forward. It's amazing how you just pray and ask in faith you will then be blessed. I have been having prayers answered right and left and it really strengthens my testimony.

We had a zone training this week in a place called Orpington and it was really good. We got to see President and the other missionaries in our zone. Also the senior couples made us lunch and they cooked Costa Vida!! it was glorious haha. Wasn't exactly like Costa but pretty close. haha.

Kirsti's hair was really cute and she told me she liked it so you need not to worry :) I want to see her nails too. Did you get a picture of those? also I can't believe the turkey's hahahaha that is so funny! I laughed and I can't believe how much snow there is. That is crazy!! All the snow here is already gone and they said we probably won't get anymore haha. crazy.

It's transfers this week but Sister Harun and I already know that we are both staying. She will probably leave next transfer.

Tell Aspen that I love her and am so proud of her. Take some pictures so that I can see them! :) also thank you for the money you put in my account. Could you put some of it my saving so if I need cash I can pull it out because remember over here it takes it from the savings. But I don't need any money at the moment. I found some leather gloves that I am going to buy and they are £15 so I think that is pretty good! ALso did you talk to Jo Meacham at all? The valentine card is enough. Thank you! I know it's too much to send stuff. The letters are better anyway :)

Yeah it was a pretty good week! The weather gets to me sometimes so that's hard! But everything is good! We are still just trying to find people to teach and that's basically all that we will be doing this week so hopefully we will be successful! It snowed this weekend and Sister Harun freaked out! She absolutely loves the snow!!! So much she is always taking pictures in it and playing in it. haha It's great. Church was cancelled because of the whole 3 inches of snow hahahaha. We still had sacrament but everything else was cancelled. They don't know what to do when it snows.

We got to see some cool people this week. It's a couple from our ward/community choir. They are non-members and they invited us over for lunch, we got to spend some time with them and they asked us lots of questions about church and what we do. It wasn't like a proper lesson but hopefully as they keep coming to choir and feeling the spirit they will want to have the lessons and learn more. But they really like us and want us to come back and take us out for pday so that's really good. :) They are way cool. p.s i love choir it's the best thing ever haha. I am actually kind of learning how to sing properly and it's fun! And the spirit that you feel as you sing is amazing. We are now preparing songs to sing for Easter and it's amazing. We are singing this one song called Gethsemene and it is ammmmmmazzzzing!! I love it. I can't remember who sings it but you should look it up and try and listen! I love it.

Also you said you sent me a letter a few weeks ago and I never got it :( but yeah we have a little bit more time to write. I wish we didn't haha because that would mean we would have people to teach ha but it will change, it's just gonna take some time to get the ball rollin. Thank you for sending the letters to everyone! and yes I got the letters from the ward!! They were so amazing and just what I needed! Seriously they inspired me and uplifted me so much and gave me that little push that I needed. I was so grateful that I got them! They were so nice and you will have no idea how much all of those letters helped me! I am going to write the ward a letter and send to you and then could you take it to church or something and give to bishop! Seriously that was so good.

 The babies are sooooooooo cute!! you can definitely tell who's baby is who's! haha. They are adorable! They are going to be so big when I get home. I can't believe how much has been changed since I have been gone! It's crazy! be sure and take lots of pictures when you and Karli do Kirsti's hair and nails! I want to see them.

 Also I am still trying to get sis. Harun brothers address! so sorry! hopefully she can get it soon! thanks for doing that for me.

 Yes we volunteered already!! It is was chill! So it was fun we had a whopping one customer!! but the people that volunteer there are really good so we get to talk and get to know them which is good! And yes it is freezing ahah. but I don't think it's as bad as it is at home so I feel worse for you guys. ha... yes I got a bag, And it's so much better. I was glad that I found it so quick. more if i need to!  oh yeah the toilet seat haha. i can't wait to see it hahahahahahahhahaha

 I will be writing you guys another letter soon! also I sent you a package for your birthday Mom but I forgot to put candy in it! Do you want me to send you some?

Hello Family,

 This week was a good week! A lot of amazing things have happened! We have been seeing so many miracles! One of them is about a lady named Marta. The elders came and did a workover a few weeks ago and we were finally able to see this lady that they found. We saw her Thursday night. And apparently she tried to cancel the appt. because she felt ill, but she called the wrong number. So we turned up and got to know her a bit. She is from Hungary and was just telling us that she felt that there was something missing in her life and so she was so excited when she talked to the elders. We taught her about the book of Mormon because the Hungarian materials didn't get delivered in time. But she loved the Book of Mormon! She was so excited to read it and she was so excited that it was in her own language. You could really tell that she was feeling the spirit the entire time that we were there teaching her. Her boyfriend was there as well but he isn't too interested but he listened to the lesson. So that was a pretty cool miracle and we are excited to see her again this week!

 Another one is we are part of the choir at church and there are a few non members who join with us who are just such lovely people. They love choir and it has been fun to get to know them. But this last week we were talking to them and they invited us over to their home and so we are going to lunch at theirs on Tuesday. Don't really know what's going to happen but we were very grateful for that opportunity.

So there are a few miracles from the week! :) we are also going to be volunteering at a charity shop once a week so that will be really fun. It will be something different to do and hopefully we will have some good opportunities there to share the gospel.

New pan!!!

 Happy new years to you too! We didn't do anything for new years haha. We just went to bed. I don't know if we could stay up or not but I was too tired anyway, so we just went to bed hah. But I just got the new pan in the mail. haha I knew you were sending it because Laura texted me. haha I wrote you a letter. haha so funny. I can't believe you did that. (the pan that they have to cook on was diquisting as you can see the picture so I arranged with Laura Baker to help me buy a new one and send to them)  lol. I have a picture with my new pan haha. But not too much happened this week. haha We are still trying our hardest to find people to teach. Basically a few people yelled profanities at us this week but it happens. ha but we had a ward party the other night which was a lot of fun. It was a singing and dancing party so all we could do was sit and watch people dance, but that was still fun. I wanted to jump in so bad but we're missionaries :) haha. we did get to talk to a lot of less active members who came so that was really good! We had our first district meeting and that was really good also. We talked about desire to serve and how we could each go out and find people with more fire and enthusiasm. It was a really uplifting meeting. Then afterward we played some foosball haha. Anyway I have sent you guys like 2 letters and will probably send you another one today so I really don't have too much to say.

 It's starting to get cold enough to layer up now. Also my bag broke the other day. Don't buy Nathan the bag we bought for me because they are rubbish. Good for other things but not when you use them as much as I do. so I have to find another one to use.

Oh also I was wondering if Karli an Grandma would like a hot water bottle for their birthday's? Would they like them do you think? let me know please. :) I hope that you get it soon ( the envelope with cards in it) if not it's not that big of deal because it was just cards so don't worry about it too much. I haven't sent the SD cards yet! They aren't quite filled yet. But I will be sending them pretty soon.

Also we are still getting christmas presents from the ward haha. we got another one yesterday at church lol. it will probable be the last one!

anyways there's all the excitement for this week ha.

Hello

Oh my goodness I am also glad that christmas is over too ha! I loved it but it was really hard. I was quite depressed thru all of the holidays but since it's been over I have felt pretty good so now I  can focus on just being a missionary and not talking to you guys and hopefully put home far from my mind haha. I loooooooooooooved talking to you guys tho! I had a lot to say too but oh well in less than 9 months we can talk about everything. ha but it was good! we still had another party day on the 26th because it's still a holiday! so that was fun! just went to more members homes and chilled out!

As for my talk, it didn't happen. The guy that assigned me wasn't there and so the bishop didn't know who was speaking, so he just called someone from the congregation. hahahaha best day ever!! So I will mail you the talk once I have given it. hah. We went to the bishops for dinner and so I told him ha it was so funny! but other than that not a lot has happened. Just been knocking more and more and more ha So we are just trying to knock in the right places to be able to find people to teach. It's different than what I am used to because in Exeter there was just so many people to teach.

Also I got the video ahahahahaha I laughed and cried thru the whole thing. It was so good and it was exactly what I needed the other day! So funny! Sorry you guys have all been sick thru the holidays.. That's no fun! The weather is random here. It's super cold one day and then the next day it's a lot warmer. Still love Hastings and my comp! so all is well here. Not too much to say this week!
