Finally On Her Way!

We woke up early to get her off to the airport.  We stopped at Cracker Barrel and had our last breakfast with Sydney for 18 months.   I was sewing her sweater by hand in the truck because it tore right when we were leaving. We were all a little bit sullen but also excited for her.
We made it to the airport in plenty of time and check in went very smooth.  In line we met 2 other girls going to the same mission that she is in.  That gave me comfort knowing that she was not alone. 

We did not get to spend much time with her because the security line was really long and they suggested that she go.  It was so hard to say that last goodbye.   I saw this quote a few days ago and loved it.

Mis-sion-ary (noun)

Someone who leave their family

for awhile so others can be with theirs for

ETERNITY

Right before she went through security

 I know she will make a great missionary and we are all so proud of her. I will never forget that last smile and wave goodbye as she walked to airplane.  She looked so beautiful and you could just see a glow all over her.  With tears in my eyes I could never be more proud of her.
